- If you are new to Cirrus, you need specialized training to operate your airplane to its optimum performance levels.
- Private Pilot Certificate
- Commercial Certificate
- Instrument Rating
- You need this rating to fly your airplane in instrument meteorological conditions.
- Glass Cockpit Proficiency
- Flight Review
- It is needed every 24 months.
- Instrument Proficiency Check
- You need 6 approaches, one intercept, one tracking procedure, and one hold under the hood or in IMC
in the preceding six months to stay current. If you are not current, you can do the approaches and procedures with a safety pilot or an instructor, within the next 6 month grace period. After that you need an Instrument Proficiency Check.
